- What a contrast to the huts of the circuit. Great sparkling jewel of civilization, diamonds of hot water, precious brown coffee. However all was outshone by the hospitality. Thanks, eh.

- The Lodge is an excellent location on the Island. It is also a very comfortable place to stay. Stewart Island is very beautiful and fortunately the weather was minimally co-operative.

- Only one night, but a good one. Enjoyed your helpfulness Mona, and friendly greeting. Lovely to see the penguins! Would like a few more days.
- A wonderful piece of NZ, as we near the end of our 3 week tour of the South Island. Stewart Island is clearly a gem. We enjoyed a van tour of the Island plus a walk on Ulva Island with Ulva Tours (first rate), and then dinner at Church Hill Restaurant. But the base of it all is the Rakiura Lodge - a wonderful place. Thank you Mona!

- We six people from far away - Canada, Kerikeri and Whangamata. A wonderful piece of NZ, you have here. The fishing was great and the paua enormous. To you Mona, a great big thank you for your hospitality. A thank you to Luke for the paua diving trip. To Squizzie, the cod were plentiful and tastie. Our trip to Ulva Island was an entertaining afternoon. Birds and fishing for everyone, and swimming. An experience we will never forget, we soaked up the relaxed atmosphere of this Island and take our memories with us. Thank you once again Mona.

- Lovely, lovely place to be! Rakiura Lodge was so convenient to the main center. Thank you, Mona for your friendliness & help. We have walked & walked, & fished & listened to the beautiful birds & enjoyed the bus trip & the Ulva Island trip - wonderful! Caught lots of fish & we fed the Kaka that came and sat on the table one morning. What a thrill. Stewart Island or Rakiura is paradise & long may it remain so unspoiled.

- What a wonderful Island - its taken us 20 yrs to get here and it was worth the wait and lived up to our expectations and more!! The Lodge is very comfortable with terrific afternoon sun and easy to sleep on beds! Mona kept an eye on us and we appreciated the transport to and from the ferry. Fishing with the boyz on Lo-Loma was amazing! Our trip with Rawhiti to Ulva was a great combo- experience too!! Nothing but superlatives - oh and the paua is the best!!
